Bay Area Summit was founded in 2004 to highlight the wealth of programs and services available to people aged 50 and older in San Francisco and other Bay Area communities. Each issue features a variety of articles geared for midlife and older adults, on subjects from health and exercise to educational opportunities and ways to give back to the community. To our knowledge, no other publication or online resource in the region offers a comparable range of information.

Initially published as a printed newsletter, Bay Area Summit transitioned to an online format in the spring of 2005. New articles appear quarterly on the Bay Area Summit website.

Bay Area Summit is an independent newsletter and is not affiliated with any other organization. We are funded through paid advertisements and private contributions. All articles appearing on this website are written by our staff; we do not accept articles from outside contributors.
